Arab Region decided to present the candidacy of Dr. Bilel Jamoussi for the post of Director of The Telecommunication Standards Bureau at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), for the period 2023-2026, during the elections to be held at the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference from 26 September to 14 October 2022 in Bucharest (Romania).

The Head of the Tunisian Government Mrs. Najla Bouden Ramadan welcomed, at the Government Palace in Kasbah, Dr. Bilel Jamoussi the Tunisian candidate for the position of Director of the Telecommunication Standardization Bureau at the International Telecommunication Union.
On this occasion, the Head of Government reiterates the entire support of Tunisia for the candidacy of Dr. Bilel Jamoussi for this strategic position in the International Telecommunication Union, stressing that Tunisia has been supporting its competencies within the framework of implementing the national strategy to employ Tunisian competencies in high international and regional positions to serve the national interests.
On his side, Dr. Bilel Jamoussi praised the support of the Head of Government, stressing his determination to best represent Tunisia in this international institution in case of his election
