H.E. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor_ Director General of the Arab ICT Organization participated as a speaker in the 10th Wuzhen Summit 2023 held from November 8th to 10th, in Wuzhen, Zhejiang Province, China with the theme “Creating an Inclusive and Resilient Digital World Beneficial to All – Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace”.

During his speech, H.E. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor underscored AICTO’s dedication and commitment to participating in both regional and international initiatives aimed at advancing digital transformation. He placed a strong emphasis on the significance of embarking on a collaborative journey toward a future in which Artificial Intelligence is not viewed as a threat, but rather as a driving force for the advancement and betterment of all.

He also underscored the necessity of guiding users toward ethical uses of artificial intelligence,

which requires reducing the gap between the rapid development of AI and the associated legal frameworks, referring to AICTO’s inception of the preparation of the guidelines about the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence, which supports human-centric values, based on the mature international experiences in the field.

H.E. Eng. Ben Amor delivered a keynote address at the CNCERT/CC Cybersecurity Forum of the WIC Wuzhen Summit held on the 9th of November, titled “Technology Development and International Cooperation in Cybersecurity.” In his speech, titled “Fostering Digital Trust to Create an Inclusive and Resilient Shared Cyberspace,” he emphasized the critical need for concerted efforts in promoting digital trust. In today’s interconnected world, where digitization and digitalization are increasingly integral to our lives, fostering digital trust is of paramount importance.

He also delivered a keynote speech at the WIC 2023 AI Sub-Forum held on November 9th. During which, he emphasized AICTO’s practical commitment to the AI issue through the launch of a new initiative called ‘Building Trust in AI,’ with the aim of promoting trustworthy and ethical usage of Artificial Intelligence in Arab countries.
