H.E. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor_ Director General of the Arab ICT Organization participated as a speaker in the Global Cybersecurity Forum (CGF) held on 1-2 November 2023 in Riyadh -Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This event was organized by the National Cybersecurity Authority under the theme “Charting Shared Priorities in Cyberspace” under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The forum witnessed the participation of a distinguished group of decision-makers and CEOs from relevant international organizations, along with a range of high-level speakers representing various government and academic sectors, as well as leading global companies.
In his presentation, H.E. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor underscored the remarkable advancements in the sector driven by the emergence of cutting-edge information and communication technologies, including 5G, the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and cloud computing. He particularly emphasized the profound impact of these technologies on our daily lives. Furthermore, he pointed out that while these technologies offer unprecedented opportunities, they also pose substantial challenges within the cybersecurity landscape.
He also stressed the importance of taking proactive measures, both by governments and private sector leaders, to ensure the security of information and communication technology networks and enable a digitally connected and secure future
During this forum, various strategic topics related to cybersecurity were discussed, with a focus on five sub-themes: “Cyberspace Stability,” “Cyberspace Growth,” “Cyber Gaps,” “Cyber Mindset,” and “Future Developments in Cybersecurity.”
