AICTO’S EVENTS & ACTIVITIES | INTERNATIONAL ICT EVENTS

A delegation from the Arab ICT Organization, led by His Excellency Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, Director General, participated in the second edition of the Arab Global Forum for Digital Cooperation and Development. The forum is organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) and the League of Arab States, in collaboration with various United Nations agencies and Arab joint action organizations, and in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The event is taking place from February 23 to 26, 2025, in Amman, Jordan.

His Excellency Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, the Director General of the Arab ICT Organization actively participated in the 4th General Assembly and the International Digital Cooperation Forum (IDCF) 2025, held on February 19, 2025, at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre in Amman, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Tunis, Tunisia – February 17, 2025 The Arab ICT Organization (AICTO) is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with USPACE Technology Group. The Mou is willing to establish a strategic partnership focused on advancing satellite technologies to benefit the Middle East and Africa region.

H.E. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, Director General of the Arab ICT Organization, participated as a speaker in the ITU Regional Development Forum for Arab Region (RDF-ARB), organized by the ITU Regional Office for the Arab States of the International Telecommunication Union. The forum was held on February 3, 2025, in Amman, under the gracious hospitality of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Jordan.

A delegation from the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO), led by H.E. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, Director General, participated in the Arab Dialogue Roundtable on “Artificial Intelligence in the Arab World: Innovative Applications and Ethical Challenges.” The event was organized by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and Naif Arab University for Security Sciences,

Amman was selected as the Arab Digital Capital for 2025 during the 28th session of the of Arab ICT Ministers’ Council, held on January 23, 2025, in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt. The Council officially announced “Amman” as the Arab Digital Capital for the year.

His Excellency the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, received His Excellency Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, Director-General of the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization, on January 20, 2025, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt.
