Considering the fast pace of development of the ICT sector, regional cooperation has become a priority. For this reason, AICTO will strive as it might for the development of an Arab Information Society by better networking people, creating channels for sharing content, and building more bridges of cooperation that would strengthen the political, economic, social and cultural bonds.

AICTO enjoys privileged partnership with the major actors in ICT, namely regional and international organizations through the conclusion of MOUs. Within this scope, collaborative projects are to be implemented according to the identified regional priorities, using public-private partnerships.

Signature of an MoU Between AICTO and SMART AFRICA
29 May 2024, Marrakesh- Morocco

On the sidelines of the GITEX Africa 2024 exhibition in Marrakesh, Kingdom of Morocco, the Arab ICT Organization signed a memorandum of understanding with SMART Africa on May 29, 2024. Under this memorandum, the two parties agreed to collaborate on capacity building in the field of modern technologies through a jointly implemented project. Additionally, they agreed to explore the implementation of other projects of mutual interest.

Signature of an MoU Between AICTO and ISESCO
28 May 2024, Marrakesh- Morocco

On the sidelines of the General Assembly of the Arab ICT Organization held in Marrakesh, Kingdom of Morocco, the Arab ICT Organization signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with ISESCO on May 28, 2024. This MoU aims to develop joint programs to enhance the use of technology for sustainable development and increase the capabilities of Arab and Islamic countries. The focus will be on creating mechanisms to stimulate innovation, raise awareness, and drive investment in purposeful, innovative solutions that benefit all segments of society, ensuring equality and fairness. Particular emphasis will be placed on leveraging the unprecedented opportunities offered by emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence.

13 May 2024, Dubai - UAE 

The Arab ICT Organization (AICTO) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) signed on May 13, 2024, in Dubai a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under the Digital for Sustainable Development (D4SD) initiative.

This agreement signifies a strategic partnership aimed at harnessing digital technologies to drive sustainable development across the Arab region.

Signature of an MoU Between AICTO and OIC CERT
12 October 2023, Abu Dhabi

ACTO and OIC-CERT signed an MoU on October 12, 2024, during Cybersecurity Week held in Oman.

This MoU aims to foster cooperation between the two parties to promote and support cybersecurity innovation and industry development initiatives in Arab and Islamic countries.

12 October 2023, Abu Dhabi - UAE

On October 12, 2023, in Abu Dhabi, UAE, AICTO signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PCH. This collaboration aims to deliver tangible support to reinforce communications critical infrastructure in Arab states. Together, they will provide workshops and documents to support the adoption of ICT best practices within these states.

Signature of an MoU Between AICTO and the Arab Tourism Organization
02 February 2023, ASBU Headquarters - Tunis

Within the framework of its endeavors and efforts to support and enhance cooperation and joint Arab action, and in order to develop bilateral cooperation in areas of common interest and adapt the ICT sector for the benefit of tourism, the Arab ICT Organization signed on Thursday, February 02, 2023 a memorandum of understanding with the Arab Tourism Organization, at the headquarters of the Arab States Broadcasting Union in Tunis, Republic of Tunisia.

The MoU was signed by the Director General of the Arab ICT Organization, H. E. Eng. Mohamed ben Amor, and the President of the Arab Tourism Organization, H.E Dr. Bandar bin Fahd Al Fuhaid.

It’s worth mentioning that this memorandum aims to enhance cooperation to take advantage of the opportunities given by the ICT sector in developing the tourism sector and to provide the best means and practices to improve tourism services to boost economic and social development in the Arab region.

The Arab ICT Organization signed a memorandum of understanding with the Arab Federation of Digital Economy during the meetings of the 54th session of the Higher Coordination Committee for joint Arab Action chaired by His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Abul-El Gheit, Secretary General of the League of Arab States, which was hosted by the Arab Federation of Digital Economy in Abu Dhabi, UAE United States from January 24 to 26, 2023.

This memorandum aims to enhance cooperation to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the communication and information technology sector in advancing the economic development process, providing the best means and practices to meet the needs of sustainable development in the Arab world for a sustainable digital economy, and launching joint projects and initiatives that contribute to the development of communication and information technologies

Within the framework of its will and commitment to promoting interregional cooperation on PKI and digital trust activities, the Arab ICT Organization “AICTO” signed an MoU with ASIA PKI Consortium on August 25th, 2022, at AICTO Headquarters.

This agreement aims to foster harmonized PKI practices to support the development of digital transactions and e-commerce within their respective regions and between them.

Cooperation Agreement between the Arab ICT Organization “AICTO” and “STB” BANK 
(15 June 2021 - STB BANK Headquarter) 

Within the framework of one’s of its strategy axes “digital financial inclusion” The Arab ICT Organization presented by its Director-General HE. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor signed a memorandum of understanding with “STB” BANK presented by its Director-General Mr. Mohamed Chouikha in order to set up a strategy for financial digital inclusion and for a rapprochement between the banking sector and the technology sector to further developing their services and providing innovative digital financial services to citizens.

A Cooperation agreement between the Arab ICT Organization and Tunisian National Radio
12 April 2021

Within the framework of its will and commitment to enhance joint Arab cooperation and provide support and assistance to achieve digital transformation, the Arab ICT Organization signed on April 13, 2021, a memorandum of partnership and cooperation with the Tunisian National Radio.

This agreement aims to complete the digital transition of the Tunisian Radio, exchange experiences, support training programs in the field of digital media and technological innovation, in addition to promoting the activities and programs of the Arab ICT Organization.

Signature of an MOU between AICTO and "Abu-Ghazaleh Global Foundation"
18 March 2021

Within the framework of its will to enhance the interregional and international cooperation, AICTO signed on the 18th of March 2021 through video conference a Memorandum of Understanding with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Foundation.

This agreement aims to cooperate in supporting the Arab digital transformation by setting policies and recommendations for the legalization of the digital world and its integration in various business areas, avoiding expected errors, and supporting Arab countries in addressing obstacles to the transition to the new virtual world, also in identifying optimal investments and providing advice, guidance and expertise services necessary to support and establish a network of international partnerships that brace digital transformation.

This memorandum falls within the scope of cooperation to implement the strategic plans of the Arab ICT Organization, to achieve a quantum leap in Arab countries in the field of digital transformation

Cooperation agreement between AICTO & the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI)
6 January 2021

Within the scope of its will to enhance the interregional and international cooperation, AICTO signed on the 6th of January 2021 a Memorandum of Understanding with the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). This MoU aims to boost the cooperation about the digital trust services and e-signature either on the technical or legal level. Hence, to give the opportunity to the Arab states to learn more about the European experiences and to open the gate for the exchange and sharing of the Arab ones through the coordination with the Technical Committee  «E-Signature and Infrastructure».

Besides, this MoU is one of the enablers towards the achievement of the goals that AICTO has set up, within the scope of its regional project on « Digital Trust » most importantly the interoperability and the mutual recognition of digital trust services at the regional and global levels.

Signature of an MoU between AICTO and CCCT
5 November 2020

A memorandum of understanding has been signed at Tunis on the 5th of November 2020 between the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO) represented by HE. Mr. Mohamed Ben Amor_ Director-General and the Canadian-Tunisian Chamber of Commerce (CCCT) represented by Mrs. Souad Siala, President.

The purpose of this memorandum of understanding is to initiate and carry out joint actions in the ICT sector and which fall within the scope of the missions of each of the two organizations AICTO and CCCT and allowing the achievement of their respective objectives. One of the actions on which the two parties have agreed to address in a first step consists in mobilizing the Canadian ICT community by the CCCT to participate in the Francophone ICT Forum that AICTO intends to organize on the sidelines of the Francophonie Summit which should be held at November 2021 in Tunisia. the two parties will also look into other actions to promote exchanges between Canada and the Arab Region in the ICT sector.

14/10/2020 - Through Video Conference

The Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization on Wednesday 14th of October 2020.

This agreement was signed during a remote ceremony via video conference by the Director-General of the Arab ICT Organization, HE. Eng. Mohamed ben Amor, and the Secretary-General of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization, HE. Dr. Saleh bin Hamad Al-Tuwaijri.

This agreement aims to strengthen joint Arab action and extend bridges of cooperation between the two organizations in order to achieve common goals in the field of humanitarian work and disaster reduction and management and to appraise the key role of Information and Communication Technologies at this end, also to provide technical support to the Arab Center for Disaster Preparedness.

HE. Eng. Mohamed ben Amor explained during the signing ceremony that AICTO has a strong belief that, accurate information and reliable channels for its delivery and dissemination are among the most important factors of coping and dealing with crises or disasters, whether natural or man-made.
AICTO is committed through this agreement to unify efforts with the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross organization, each from the field of his specialization in order to provide the required assistance to the Arab citizen to deal with the next normal situation by using the facilities and tools provided by the ICTs.
