On Monday, October 9, 2023, His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Ali Al-Mannai, Minister of Communications and Information Technology of the State of Qatar, received at the Ministry’s headquarters H. E. Eng. Mohamed ben Amor, Director General of the ICT Organization.
This meeting focused on ways to enhance cooperation between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and AICTO, and the importance of joint coordination to implement projects of common interest.
During this meeting, His Excellency the Director General of the Arab ICT Organization expressed his sincere gratitude for the continued support of the State of Qatar to the organization. He also praised the pioneering role of the State of Qatar in the digital field and its important progress, in addition to Qatar’s exceptional success in hosting major international events such as FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
His Excellency the Director General also delivered a presentation on the organization’s activities, especially with regard to the field of cybersecurity and personal data protection, and it was agreed to bolster collaboration in the field of cybersecurity governance and IPv6 and artificial intelligence.
On his part, His Excellency the Minister praised AICTO’s efforts and its role in developing the ICT sector in the Arab region, stressing the State of Qatar’s continued support for the organization and its activities and programs.
